Based in Seoul, artist Gyu Han Lee will be launching his new gallery "The Pattern is The Pattern".

The gallery features furniture that is made out of Nike Shoe Boxes. The event will showcased at Gallery Document in Seoul displaying pieces such as chairs, benches, coffee tables, shelving units and more. The artist stated that the name came from Netflix's series Manic, “the moment when the fragments of everyday life that seemed meaningless are repeated and constitute a pattern of life.”

ADA: Contemporary Art Gallery opens a new gallery in Accra, Ghana.

Founder Adora Mba shares her thoughts about the launch of her art gallery. “I’ve had a bit more time and figured out more what I want to do with the program. I feel ready now.” The gallery opens on October 15, 2020 with a solo exhibition from Nigerian painter Collins Obijiaku. 

Adora Mba's goal for the gallery is to use the space as an incubator and launchpad for African artists, to give them the same kind of backing and momentum so often offered to their European and American counterparts.
