Box Office: 'War With Grandpa' topped with $3.6 Million & 'Tenet' topped with $2.1 Million

Director Tim Hill's comedy film 'War With Grandpa' scores high in box office with $3.6 million. The film stars Robert De Niro as  grandfather who goes to war with grandson played by Oakes Fegley. 

Christopher Nolan's Tenet grossed over $2.1 million in the U.S. with overseas generating $275 million. The film is based upon a secret agent embarks on a dangerous, time-bending mission to prevent the start of World War III. The starring cast features Robert Pattinson, John David Washington and Elizabeth Debicki.

Los Angeles Lakers Wins The NBA 2020 Finals: Highlights

Los Angeles Lakers wins the 2020 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat in game 6. Star players Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso scored major points in the game to take home the championship. This makes Lebron earning his fourth ring in the league. Youtuber Arif Zahir Casted As Cleveland Brown On Family Guy Season 19

Family Guy casts YouTuber Arif Zahir as the new Cleveland Brown. The internet sensation will be apart of season 19th, which will be aired in 2021-22. Zahir will be replacing former voiced actor of Cleveland, Mike Henry​.

In June, Mike Henry stepped away from the role, but will continue to write for the series. The reason for the removal was to bring diversity into the characters' role. Family Guy will be premiering season 18th on Sunday, August 26. You can watch Arif Zahir's voice impersonation of Cleveland Brown above!

ABC Dramas' TV Series Premiere Dates

ABC network have released the premiere dates for their TV dramas. Most of the shows are renewals for upcoming series such as For Life, Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, Station 19 and more. 

Crime drama For Life replaces Stumptown's current TV slot that is on Wednesday at 10 p.m. The premiere dates will begin on November 2. Here are the following ABC dramas' premiere date:

Monday, Nov. 2
10 p.m.: The Good Doctor


Thursday, Nov. 12
8 p.m.: Station 19
9 p.m.: Grey's Anatomy

Tuesday, Nov. 17
10 p.m.: Big Sky

Wednesday, Nov. 18
10 p.m.: For Life

Civil Rights Icon And Congressman John Lewis Passed Away At 80

Civil Rights Activist and Congressman John Lewis passed away at 80 due to pancreatic cancer. John Lewis was part of the Big Six, led by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He was known for leading 600 protesters in the Bloody Sunday march. Lewis fought against racism, inequality and discrimination. 

John Lewis founded the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and was named the Chairman of the organization. He was the youngest in the Big Six that also include Whitney Young of the National Urban League; A. Philip Randolph of the Negro American Labor Council; James L. Farmer Jr., of the Congress of Racial Equality; and Roy Wilkins of the NAACP.

In 1981, John Lewis was elected Atlanta City Council. He joined the congress in 1986. President Obama endorsed John Lewis with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. They later marched in Selma on the 50th anniversary of the Blood Sunday attack. 

John ​Lewis' wife, Lillian Miles, passed away in 2012. He leaves behind his one son, John Miles Lewis.

'Halloween Kills' And 'Forever Purge' Will Be Released In 2021 Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Hollywood and the entertainment industry is making adjustment due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most film studios delayed and decided to release films and production until 2021. 

Horror movie Halloween Kills, which is a sequel to the iconic Michael Myer's Halloween series, will be delayed on Oct. 15, 2021. The Forever Purge, which was set to release in July 2020 will be push back until July 2021. Halloween creator John Carpenter made a statement about the film delay. Documentary About Breonna Taylor In FX, New York Times Series 'The New York Times Presents'

FX and New York Times are producing a new docseries called The New York Times Presents. The new series will premiere on July 10 with a documentary about Breonna Taylor, a 27-year-old Black woman who was killed by the police where she slept in her home in Louisville, Kentucky. Another episode will cover doctors and nurses in New York City at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Directed by Yoruba Richen and Times reporter Rukmini Callimachi, the series will premiere on FX and Hulu.

Go Inside The Life Story Of Music Icon Aretha Franklin In New Film, RESPECT

Music icon Aretha Franklin started as a young girl singing in her father's church choir and grows into a successful international superstar. The soul singer story gets told in a new biopic film called RESPECT. 

Directed by Liesl Tommy, RESPECT stars Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin, Forest Whitaker as C.L. Franklin, Marlon Wayans as Ted White and Mary J. Blige as Dinah Washington. The film will be released on December 25, 2020. You can watch the full trailer to RESPECT above!

Cops Is Canceled

Realty show Cops has been canceled by Paramount Network in the wake of protest for racial injustice and George Floyd. 

A spokesperson for the network stated about cops "Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return." Spike TV, Paramount's forerunner, picked up the series in 2013. 

Reruns of Cops airs on WGN America and ViacomCBS-owned streaming service Pluto TV. WGN America plan to not renew the series and airing at the end of June. 

A&E also pulled Live PD from their network.
